My husband and I recently moved here from Cali and we love a good breakfast spot. Katie the bartender is the best and is very attentive and friendly and always takes good care of her regulars and guests in general, the rest of the staff are also very kind. The food is to die for and is always cooked the same every time. I think that’s why we love this place so much. The people and the food are consistent. 10/10 recommend
Good service, and very good food. They have a very extensive menu. I got the Texas BBQ hamburger, which was one of the best hamburgers I've had in recent memory. My brother got the Swiss cheese and mushroom hamburger and we could barely eat them. Looking forward to going there again and trying some of their breakfast items.
The place has been here forever, but a few years ago a new owner transformed the place. Remodeled, full bar, great food and service. Great pastrami sandwich, burger, soup and mimosas for brunch. Everyone was happy with the food. Wish it had been like this for the 20 years I lived around Wards Corner. Close to interstate so easy off/on. I'll defintely be back.
Great diner food, the hot syrup is a game changer. Every time we've been the servers have been so friendly and efficient. Highly recommend the apple pancakes or just a side of the country apples, too good. Debra is great! We'll definitely be coming back, we've been three times in a month since the first visit
Gina was wonderful and served us well. We had to try the blueberry pancakes. They were delicious. Also tried out their stuffed strawberry French toast. The food was hot and cooked to perfection. We have a new breakfast spot. Come try out the Pancake House and Grill
This Cafe is both modern and clean, yet captures the old diner atmosphere that makes us reminisce in such a delightful way. Of the many diners my friends and I have tried in the area while completing duties on base, this one was our favorite. Many diners had ‘meh’ food that none of us cared one way or the other about, but the food here was delicious every time. And they did NOT shirk on the presentation; it was lovely. Theresa was our waitress a few of the times we visited and she was fabulous and so attentive, as well as kind and a joy to talk to! We enjoyed all the oldies songs they played, too. What a great place! We’ll definitely be coming back on our next assignment here ;)
We came after church, and the place was packed. We waited 10 minutes for a seat. Nick (the owner) gave us a warm greeting, found us a booth, and seated us. Deb was our server, and she was just as pleasant as could be. She brought our drinks promptly and was thorough with taking our order, making sure everything was ordered correctly. Our food arrived within 20 minutes and was hot, delicious, and excellent presentation. She refilled our drinks as needed. We ordered the Rise and Shine, the scrambled eggs were fluffy. The food was cooked perfectly. The chicken fried steak was as expected, delicious. The blueberry French toast was delicious. The syrup was also great. We also got the bbq burger which I didn't get a picture of but it was the most beautiful burger I've seen and the bbq sauce was great! The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The bathrooms were great and clean and warm. Thank you for a wonderful lunch! Sam, Kaylee, son 1, new baby, Jennifer and Janet
The Pancake House and Grill 7633 Granby St, Norfolk, VA 23505 In a nice inviting atmosphere signified by the warm lighting, the Pancake House and Grill is always eager to please customers in Norfolk by being one of the best breakfast spots in town. Been in business since 1962, the kind owner of this establishment also serves as a host to this restaurant looking quite pleased with what was being offered. The Angus Burgers, he indicated, sounded delightful, but my friend swayed me to go with the Texas Special. Complete with an 8 ounce ribeye and served with two eggs, the entree was grilled to order with Montreal seasoning. Every bite of that steak was a bit of a savory joy with balanced seasoning while not being too salty. The eggs, served over easy, were not too hard or too soft, but were thick enough to pick up with a fork. Almost perfect! I also paired up that meal with the Peaches & Cream Pancakes. They were made with an original egg batter recipe with tender peaches and topped with whipped cream. No syrup needed because the peaches already took care of the sweetness along with providing some texture that was easy to bite into with the whipped cream and pancake mixed into a bite which exudes a comforting flavor of pure bliss. Classy atmosphere, well cooked food, and really tasty pancakes, this restaurant can make breakfast meals a fun and a delicious experience.
